Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Actero and its affiliates (“Actero,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our websites, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”). It is designed to comply with applicable data-protection laws, including Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and its regulations, and U.S. laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information we process about website visitors, prospective and current customers, and their authorized users. Where we process personal information on behalf of a customer as part of providing the Services, we act as a processor (or service provider) and handle that information in accordance with our agreement with that customer, whose own privacy notices govern.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide — such as your name, email address, company, role, and the contents of messages, demo requests, or support inquiries you send us, and any configuration, brand assets, or instructions you provide to the Services.
- Automatically collected information — such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and interactions with the Services, collected through cookies and similar technologies and server logs.
- Publicly available signals — as part of the Services, we process publicly available content and signals from the web that our customers direct us to monitor, which may include information about individuals who posted or are referenced in that content.
- Information from third parties — such as analytics providers, advertising partners, and platforms with which the Services integrate.
You are not legally required to provide personal information, but some information is necessary to use certain features, and without it we may be unable to provide the Services.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services;
- respond to inquiries, process demo requests, and provide customer support;
- develop, improve, and train the features and models that power the Services, using de-identified or aggregated data where practicable;
- personalize content, understand usage, and measure the effectiveness of the Services and our communications;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, and technical issues;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and agreements; and
- send administrative or, where permitted, marketing communications, from which you may opt out.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent; the performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services in a manner that does not override your rights; and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and, where permitted, support marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required, we obtain consent before setting non-essential cookies.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. We may share personal information with:
- Service providers and processors that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, communications, and AI-model infrastructure, under obligations of confidentiality and data protection;
- Platforms and integrations you direct the Services to interact with on your behalf;
- Legal and safety recipients where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Actero, our users, or others;
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction; and
- Affiliates within our corporate group, consistent with this Policy.
Some of these disclosures may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under certain U.S. laws. See Section 10 for how to exercise your rights, including the right to opt out.
7. Artificial Intelligence Processing
The Services use artificial intelligence and automated processing. Information may be processed by AI models, including those operated by third-party providers, to generate outputs and actions. We take reasonable steps to limit and safeguard the information used for these purposes, but outputs may be inaccurate, and you should not rely on them as a sole basis for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects without human review.
8. International Data Transfers
Actero is based in Israel and may process and store information in Israel, the United States, and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as adequacy determinations or standard contractual clauses. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.
9. Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it. We maintain reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification of your identity, you may have the right to access, correct, update, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
Israel. Under the Protection of Privacy Law, you may request to review personal information we hold about you and request its correction or deletion, subject to the exceptions permitted by law.
California (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients; to request deletion or correction; and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may exercise these rights, including any “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request, by contacting us as described below. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request.
To exercise any right, contact us at hello@actero.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory or regulatory authority.
11. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to such signals, the Services do not currently respond to them, except where we are required to treat an opt-out preference signal as a valid request under applicable law.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 18 (or the age defined by applicable local law). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Third-Party Links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
15. Contact Us
For questions or requests regarding this Policy or your personal information, contact us at hello@actero.ai or by mail to Actero, Tel Aviv, Israel.
